Feeding Group
If a child has prolonged problems gathering food, sucking, chewing, swallowing, difficulty with meal time and/or aversions to food, we offer group therapies for a range of appropriate childhood age groups, from early childhood through middle school.
A speech language pathologist will lead each class and integrate SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) feeding strategies, utilizing behavioral, nutritional, sensory, and other factors to target and help resolve difficulty while eating. The SOS system is a multi-step rubric that supports children in engaging with food and eating, in ways that are fun and encouraging! Each class lasts 45 minutes.
